For example, the door ajar notes are played on the front door speakers, but the rear sonar beeps are played on the back door speakers.Įver since I replaced the factory speakers with JL components, I lost the notes on the ACM (stereo) and are always played on the IPC. This means greatly diminished volume/tone/timber and "directionality" of the notes. If there is a drop in resistance, then the IPC will generate all tones. However, my biggest gripe is that the ACM has resistance sensing, which tells it to send all audio notes generated by the IPC to the speakers. You will need a parrot for-11ck harness to send the signal from the ACM downstreamĪll in all its not a hard install. The ACM is the module that has the CD player/XM antenna/HD antenna (if equipped), etc.ģ) The ACM can be configured with IDS or Forscan to convert the signal to low-level inputs, in which case you can solder/splice in RCAs to connect to a DSP or even amp if needed.Ĥ) The ACM DOES NOT have volume based variable EQ.ĥ) The factory tweeters run off the main door speaker harness and are filtered with an inline resistor.
